Jenny Kay

Jenny is operational lead for the WSP GL Hearn Valuation team, with technical valuation responsibility for the Housing & Viability service line within the team.  Jenny works with registered providers, local authorities, and developers to provide development consultancy advice including: valuation; acquisition and disposal; land agency and asset management/option appraisal advice.

Jenny has worked in the housing and regeneration sector for over 25 years, managing and developing affordable homes for housing associations. She has led on the regeneration of several housing estates across the country, working closely with the community to provide new homes and amenities for existing residents and the development of additional mixed tenure new homes. From site identification and purchase through to handover, she has in-depth knowledge of the development process and is experienced in land purchase, negotiating and procurement of consultant teams and build contacts. 

Moving from the housing association world to the private sector, Jenny now provides advice to our clients on estate regeneration; option appraisals on existing estates or properties; advising clients on the potential to increase revenue or reduce costs; and red book and desktop valuations to support land acquisition and disposal.

She has a particular interest in the development of older persons’ housing stemming from her experiences earlier on in her career.
