Hilary Witts

Hilary has worked in business rates for 30 years, both as a consultant and client-side. Hilary joined WSP GL Hearn in 2024 to oversee the growth strategy for the business, having previously been Head of Operations for the Rating Team within Colliers International. Before this, Hilary was Head of Rating and Valuation at Co-op Group for eight years, with responsibility for approval of all property transactions.

 

Hilary has worked closely with the British Retail Consortium as well as advising the Association of Convenience Stores on business rates matters. She also worked closely with MPs in relation to the rating reform for the 2017 Revaluation.

Hilary’s passion is in delivering a high standard of work to our clients, and she enjoys working with client directly, having managed a large number of multi-occupancy clients over her career, including Thorntons, Aldi, Poundland, Santander, Fujitsu, IWG plc, T K Maxx, The Restaurant Group, Landmark Space, and Co-op Group.

With a keen interest in working alongside clients to understand their requirements, Hilary has particular experience in managing and handling cash flow, business objectives, reporting, and deadlines. She has worked closely with company boards making strategic business decisions, including overseeing company restructures.
