GL Hearn celebrate the New Year with three senior hires as it continues to drive-forward its market leading development offer.
This continued growth is led by Head of Development, Alistair Parker, who joined the business last autumn from commercial property and real estate consultancy, Cushman & Wakefield, following 20 years as head of their development business.

GL Hearn’s development group operates successfully across the public and the private sector, the team is looking to expand on its existing development portfolio of 64,000 residential units, and these new hires bolster the team with the right people to consult with both public and private sector partners. The development group at GL Hearn offers a breadth of expertise across key sectors including infrastructure, defence and residential and mixed-use development, and these new hires continues to cement our role as a trusted advisor with our clients. We shape successful outcomes and deliver large-scale and complex developments across the UK.” Alistair remarked.
New Hires
Andrew Murphy and Oliver Dawson join GL Hearn from Barton Willmore.
Andrew joins GL Hearn as new viability Development Director. Andrew will provide advice to landowners, developers and local authorities in the form of feasibility studies, viability assessments, due diligence reviews and the negotiation of affordable housing, S106 agreements and review mechanisms.
Andrew has worked in a variety of sectors across London and the south east, and key projects include the redevelopment of London's Earls Court and the extension of Westfield London in Shepherd’s Bush.
Oliver Dawson joins as an Associate Director in viability. Oliver will cover feasibility studies, viability assessments, due diligence reviews and the negotiation of affordable housing, S106 agreements and review mechanisms. He has worked on a wide range of projects including the Hackney Wick masterplan, 5 Strand London and Canterbury Riverside.
Will Sproul joins GL Hearn from Ardent where he was Regional Director of Compulsory Purchase and Consenting for London and the south. He joins GL Hearn as Director of CPO and Development Management with 20 years’ property industry experience. Will has significant experience of large city centre and out of town regeneration schemes and nationally significant infrastructure projects. His focus will be on working closely with both public and private sector clients promoting and resisting statutory powers, assessing development potential and delivery options, whilst advising on all associated land, property and compensation matters.
