Handling Client Money

For our Rate Payment Management clients, GL Hearn recommends the addition of our treasury service, where we take the responsibility of paying our clients’ business rates, BIDs and Council Tax and also handle the receipt of refunds. This means that we can provide our clients with total visibility of what has been paid and when, and significantly enhances our budget forecasting and reporting capabilities around providing clarity of refunds due and wider savings.

Protection of our clients’ money is of paramount importance to GL Hearn. Our systems and controls ensure that the funds entrusted to us are secure and we operate a transparent service so that our clients are aware of how their funds are used and verified. Our treasury service is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and our procedure on Handling Client Money carefully followed the mandatory requirements and guidance set out in the RICS professional standard.
