GL Hearn provide both affordable housing valuation advice and development consultancy advice to the Registered Social Landlord (RSL), private and public sectors utilising the in-depth knowledge of the team which consists of both valuers and ex-RSL staff.
The team provides formal valuation advice in accordance with the requirements of the Homes & Communities Agency with a strong emphasis on development valuations. This is aided by acting for many of the large developing RSLs within London and the south-east over a number of years.
The team also advises developers with regard to value optimisation through scheme design and RSL partnering. The former is undertaken in conjunction with our New Homes department who review the private sale units.
We work with planning consultancies, as part of Section 106 negotiations. Increasingly this includes the use of sophisticated financial modelling using the Three Dragons Model or the Homes & Communities Agency’s Economic Appraisal Tool.
